Since I originally started on wax, and later CDs, I wanted something a little more simple, and Serato Scratch Live (SSL) fit the bill and I stuck with Serato, changing over to Serato DJ (SDJ) and now Serato DJ Pro (SDJ-P) exclusively till recently. I just could not get my S2 to respond to my scratches to how I liked it, and overall the application seemed more geared towards live producers than the simple two-turntables-and-a-mixer styled DJ which favored the EDM crowd.
